DEPARTMENT GRANTS

The Thomas Health Foundation was founded in 1989 to support Herbert J. Thomas Jr., Memorial Hospital and later Saint Francis Hospital, known collectively as Thomas Health. These hospitals have been serving their communities for over 170 years.  As a non-profit foundation, we practice philanthropy to cultivate donor relationships; these donations, gifts, grants, and endowments serve to provide valued resources that support Thomas Health’s mission to deliver compassionate and exceptional healthcare to improve the well-being of the communities we serve.

At the Thomas Health Foundation, we ensure all donations are stewarded directly toward the greatest needs of the hospitals and the patients we serve.  We partner with individuals and corporations who share our vision and support our philanthropic efforts. The Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders who oversee the work of the Foundation through board meetings, various committee meetings and close collaboration with the Executive Director and staff.

The Foundation is honored to make investments in the programs and staff at Thomas Health. Departmental Grants are awarded to ensure that Thomas Health is delivering the most advanced technology with the highest quality of health care providers. All grant and scholarship applications are carefully screened by The Foundation’s Appropriations Committee to fulfill The Foundation’s mission.
